I am thrilled to have the chance to help someone increase their knowledge of a skill or classroom subject. I graduated from the University of Connecticut with a bachelor's degree in human development and family studies. I've always been interested in social sciences and human behavior, which is why I'm preparing to enroll in a master's program in the human psychology. My college education has taught me that everyone has the capacity to learn and excel in the classroom as long as they're able to learn in a way that works for them. I believe that everyone learns differently and that it's up to the teacher to create material that moves away from the traditional educational model and caters to students with different learning preferences, like hands-on activities and visual learners. I've worked as a tutor for the past decade in a one-on-one setting, where I've helped a number of people improve their essay writing skills. As a native Russian speaker, I'm also able to help anyone who's interested in learning more about this challenging and incredible language. Other subjects that I like to tutor include psychology, English as a Second Language, and social sciences. When I'm not working in education, I like to spend my time traveling abroad.
